Menthe To Be Green

A memorable party is more than just decorations. From the menu, to the invitations, and music- the devil is in the details. There is nothing like a signature drink to bring the night together.

A few events and some craft cocktail recipes ago, I was in search for the perfect emerald green drink. Frightened that my options would most likely lead to food coloring and bartenders with green fingers, I was in desperate need of assistance before all the esthetics were thrown out the window.

I reached out to my liquor pouring, tin shaking, and bottle flaring friends for help and their ideas did not disappoint. One of my mixologist pals crafted a delicious concoction that was just the right shade of envy.

In honor of National Creme De Menthe day, I am sharing this special recipe with you!

If you know me, you know that gin is not usually my spirit of choice, but the marriage of the citrus and creme de menthe give your tastebuds an experience like no other. Trust me, those bartender connections pay off!

Ingredients

1 oz. of De Kuyper Creme de Menthe

1 oz. of De Kuyper Triple Sec

1 oz. of Your Gin Of Choice

1 oz. of Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

Ice

Take your martini glass and fill it with ice and water to the top and set off to the side and let it chill. In your tin, vigorously shake all of your liquid ingredients with ice until frosty. Empty your martini glass and pour this luxurious emerald green mixture. You can serve as is, or garnish with a twist or even an edible flower.

Cheers!
