When she isn’t sipping iced coffee or flipping through the pages of a new book, Marisol can be found dancing around at concerts, dominating Fantasy Football, recording podcasts, mixing Mezcal Mules, exploring new restaurants, watching The Devil Wears Prada for the 687th time, or being “Tia Kiki” to her besties’ little ones.

Growing up in San Luis Potosí, Mexico sparked her love for Mexican culture, Spanish Colonial Architecture, and Tequila. Marisol honed her knowledge of the English language by watching countless hours of Lizzie McGuire and the Disney Channel. Her sense of style is largely influenced by her mother’s closet, South Texas, and Brandon Maxwell. Her mother would like to note that while her sharp tongue and wit are hereditary, the sarcasm is not.
Marisol is a huge softie for animals. Her passion for protecting apex predators and her tenacious personality got her nicked named “shark girl” during her time as a lobbyist at the Texas Capital. She proudly volunteers for the Gulf Coast Humane Society, Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network, and is a member of the Rising Tide Society. From puppies to dolphins, she’s yet to meet a creature she doesn’t like.
